About Tolga Akçura
Tolga Akçura has expertise in marketing strategy, marketing research, and database marketing. He is an accomplished researcher who has published in top-tier journals such as Marketing Science, Management Science, and Decision Support Systems. He is currently a faculty member at Ozyegin University, Turkey. Previously, he was a marketing professor at Long Island University in Brookeville, NY and Purdue University in West Lafayette, IN, where he was voted to be the Distinguished Teacher by MBA students two years in a row.
Professor Akçura has been the recipient of numerous awards and fellowships, including the William W. Cooper Doctoral Dissertation Award and Andrew Mellon Fellowship. His professional experience includes various assignments with P&G in Istanbul, Manchester, London and Brussels where he was a new initiatives manager responsible for Europe.
Professor Akçura holds a PhD and an MBA from Carnegie Mellon University, Industrial Administration (Marketing) and MA in Management, BSc in Industrial Engineering from Bogaziçi University
